Twitter and Bloomberg’s special live stream coverage of former FBI Director James Comey’s testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee on Thursday, June 8th reached 2.7 million unique viewers globally. The broadcast had an average minute audience (AMA) of 129,000 viewers. The live coverage attracted a young audience with 88% of logged-in live viewers under the age of 35.
In addition, 3.6 million Tweets were sent from 7am-1:30pm discussing Former FBI Director James Comey’s testimony to the Senate Intelligence Committee.
This agreement is an extension of Bloomberg’s existing live streaming partnership with Twitter, pairing live video with real-time reaction and commentary via a stream of Tweets as viewers on the platform experienced on Thursday.
