Bloomberg News has won the Overseas Press Club’s David A. Andelman and Pamela Title award for “Run For Your Life: The Murder that Shook the Running World,” a Bloomberg Investigates mini documentary that found dozens of cases of alleged domestic abuse, violence and property theft involving female athletes in Kenya. The David A. Andelman and Pamela Title award recognizes the best international TV, video, radio, audio or podcast reporting showing a concern for the human condition.
Bloomberg also received a runner-up citation for “Bad Medicine” in the OPC’s Roy Rowan Award for the best investigative reporting in any medium on an international story. The Bloomberg Investigations series explores how porous regulations and manufacturing shortcuts allow dangerous drugs to circulate around the world.
The 85th Annual OPC Awards dinner will take place on April 25 at Cipriani in New York City.
