New York, October 31, 2025 — Can’t Look Away: The Case Against Social Media is now available to view on Bloomberg platforms. The documentary feature film exposes the real-world consequences of dangerous social media algorithms that exploit and endanger vulnerable young users.
The film is produced and directed by the Emmy Award-winning film team Matthew O’Neill and Perri Peltz (“AXIOS on HBO,” “Surveilled” with Ronan Farrow). O’Neill is also a two-time Academy Award-nominated filmmaker (“Redemption,” “China’s Unnatural Disaster”). The documentary is based on investigative reporting by Bloomberg News’ Olivia Carville on child safety in the digital world.
The film is available to watch on Bloomberg.com and the Bloomberg Terminal, and will air on Bloomberg Television on Saturday, November 1 at 1 PM ET and on Bloomberg US streaming channels at 9 PM ET. It also remains available on Jolt, where it debuted in April.
