LONDON – Bloomberg Television today announced updates to its EMEA weekday programming lineup, effective January 5, 2026. The refreshed schedule strengthens the network’s global markets coverage during key morning hours.
Programming Updates
Daybreak Europe – 6am GMT
Lizzy Burden joins Daybreak Europe as anchor. Broadcasting live from London, the program sets the agenda for the day, delivering overnight market news from the U.S. and Asia alongside the key stories European investors need to know ahead of the market opening.
The Opening Trade – 7-9am GMT
Tom Mackenzie joins Anna Edwards and Guy Johnson on the desk for The Opening Trade. Together, this highly experienced team provides sharp analysis of the day’s most important market stories and engages top-tier guests who bring real-world insight to every conversation. Mackenzie also continues to host Bloomberg Tech: Europe, which moves to a new time of 8.30am GMT, airing the second Friday of every month.
Alongside these changes, the EMEA schedule will continue to be opened and closed by anchors Joumanna Bercetche and Francine Lacqua:
Bloomberg Horizons Middle East and Africa – 5am GMT/9am UAE
Bloomberg Horizons Middle East and Africa opens the EMEA morning live from the Dubai studio with anchor Joumanna Bercetche. The program covers the region’s fast-paced growth, major deals, and policy shifts, featuring conversations with decision-makers. It also includes regular reporting from Jennifer Zabasajja, Bloomberg Television’s Chief Africa Correspondent.
The Pulse with Francine Lacqua – 9am GMT
Francine Lacqua continues to anchor her flagship weekday program, The Pulse with Francine Lacqua, featuring leading voices from global business, economics, finance, and politics. She also continues to host her long-form interview series Leaders with Francine Lacqua. In 2026, Lacqua will debut a new video podcast, Leaders with Francine Lacqua – The Podcast.
Bloomberg Television is streamed live on Bloomberg.com and available to Bloomberg Terminal subscribers globally via the {TV <GO>} function, with Broadcast Television available locally on satellite and streaming services across the region.
