BLOOMBERG TELEVISION AND RADIO LAUNCH BLOOMBERG WALL STREET WEEK

One-hour program recapping the week’s biggest news in finance and business hosted by David Westin debuts today at 6PM/ ET

New York, January 10, 2020 — Today, Bloomberg Television and Radio debut Bloomberg Wall Street Week. Hosted by Bloomberg’s David Westin, the one-hour program will air weekly on Fridays at 6 PM ET.

Bloomberg Wall Street Week will feature market and geopolitical discussions with a rotating panel of influential voices including thought leaders, CEOs, policy makers and economists. Panelists regularly contributing to the program include: former Treasury Secretary Lawrence H. Summers; Economist Glenn Hubbard; Roger Ferguson, CEO of TIAA; Afsaneh Beschloss, CEO of RockCreek; Zanny Minton Beddoes, Editor-in-Chief of The Economist; and Samuel Palmisano, former President and CEO of IBM.

The program will be a reinvention of the iconic Wall Street Week with Louis Rukeyser, which was conceived and produced by Maryland Public Television and aired on PBS for over 30 years. Each week, Bloomberg Wall Street Week will feature a special guest who will join the news panel on one of the topics, and will conclude with a “Second Opinion” segment featuring perspectives from the next generation of Wall Street.

“It is with great pride that we bring Bloomberg Wall Street Week to our global audience; which will explore the financial stories shaping our world as seen through the eyes of those whose perspectives are valued within the finance and business communities,” said Al Mayers, Global Head of Television and Radio.

“Our goal each week will be to bring our audience a different, provocative take on the stories that shape our lives,” said David Westin, Bloomberg Television and Radio anchor. “I am honored to follow in the footsteps of the legendary Louis Rukeyser.”

Bloomberg Wall Street Week will also live online across Bloomberg’s digital and social channels, as well as on podcasts created from each week’s program.
