Bloomberg Media Extends Partnership with Interactive Brokers to Launch Sponsored Bloomberg Radio Green Room in New York

New York – Bloomberg Media today announced the launch of the Interactive Brokers Market Lounge as part of its continuing partnership with Interactive Brokers (Symbol: IBKR). The lounge will serve as a green room for Bloomberg Radio guests in Bloomberg’s global headquarters in New York City, accompanying the new state-of-the-art multi-platform Bloomberg-Interactive Brokers broadcast studio, which opened in September.

The lounge features bespoke Interactive Brokers’ brand elements and touchpoints to engage Bloomberg Radio guests and demonstrate the firm’s role in global markets and investing. Four large-scale screens will feature Interactive Brokers’ imagery and messaging, providing guests with a better understanding of the firm’s services and benefits. The space will also help amplify Interactive Brokers’ Student Trading Lab, with a special packet about investment training available to students during educational tours of Bloomberg’s global headquarters.

“This lounge is a natural extension of our partnership surrounding the Bloomberg-Interactive Brokers broadcast studio,” said Keith A. Grossman, Global Chief Revenue Officer of Bloomberg Media. “Oftentimes experiential integrations focus on large groups at the expense of the individual. The Interactive Brokers Market Lounge ensures our high-profile guests experience the excellence of Bloomberg both on-air and off.”

“Interactive Brokers has focused on technological innovation for more than 40 years and we believe that sponsoring Bloomberg’s cutting-edge radio facilities is a natural fit for our brand,” said Steven Sanders, EVP for Marketing and Product Development at Interactive Brokers. “IBKR also has a strong commitment to promoting financial literacy, which Bloomberg’s in-depth interviews about global markets and investing provide,” Sanders said. “We also hope to help students visiting Bloomberg learn about the free, educational resources IBKR offers through our Student Trading Lab.”

Beginning in January 2019, Interactive Brokers will sponsor a monthly podcast featuring interviews with business leaders and institutional buy-side decision makers that will be produced in the lounge. Both the lounge and the Bloomberg-Interactive Brokers Market Studio will be used as backdrops during the simulcast of Bloomberg’s radio programming on YouTube and Bloomberg Television, slated for early in the New Year.
