New York, September 29, 2025 – Today, Bloomberg released Alphadots, a word puzzle with a plot twist. The daily game combines wordplay and graphical clues to make puzzles about business, politics and culture. Alphadots expands on Bloomberg’s growing portfolio of game offerings and interactive experiences to engage users.
The game’s players are presented with a single puzzle, challenging them to arrive at the correct answer as quickly as possible by interpreting a written clue paired with a distinctive chart that visually represents the letters. For full details on how to play, visit here.

Alphadots is made available daily at 12:00am ET. It is free for all users, while Bloomberg subscribers can access the complete archive of past puzzles as well as tools to track their performance over time. The puzzle’s concept was created by Jeff Chen, a crossword constructor, and designed and developed by Bloomberg.
The launch of Alphadots follows the release of Pointed, Bloomberg’s first game introduced earlier this year. Of subscribers who play, about 80% come back every week — a number that’s only increased since launch. Pointed and Alphadots, as well as new offerings such as Bloomberg Weekend, underscore Bloomberg’s strategy to deepen engagement with digital audiences and subscribers in new and innovative ways.
