John Fraher is Senior Executive Editor for Bloomberg News based in Singapore. He oversees all news coverage across the Asia Pacific region alongside Madeleine Lim in Hong Kong.

Since joining Bloomberg in 1999, he has overseen global coverage of politics, business, finance and energy in various executive editor roles. In 2020, John founded Bloomberg Green, an award-winning vertical that looks specifically at climate change. He has also helped spearhead various digital projects, including the launch of Bloomberg’s Weekly Doc in 2023. John has worked out of Bloomberg’s London, Frankfurt and Berlin bureaus before moving to Singapore.

John graduated from Oxford University where he studied German and Modern History at University College and he has a Masters in European politics from the London School of Economics.
