Joe Weisenthal is the co-host of the Odd Lots podcast. Alongside Tracy Alloway, they cover the most interesting topics in markets, finance and economics. While the podcast has been going on since 2015, Joe has been covering markets in one way or another for roughly 20 years.

He started in the business with his own (now defunct) blog TheStalwart.com in 2005, which then lead to writing gigs here and there at places like Dealbreaker, paidContent.org, and Techdirt.com.

In 2008, he started at Business Insider on the eve of the Global Financial Crisis, covering markets and Wall Street. He joined Bloomberg in 2014, in a hybrid role that involved editing for digital in the newsroom, and co-hosting the market close TV show What’d You Miss? from 2015 through 2021.
