Shery Ahn is a Bloomberg TV anchor and Editor-at-Large in Tokyo, where she leads two flagship shows: “Bloomberg: The Asia Trade” (weekdays, 7–9am HKT) and “Bloomberg Tech: Asia.”
Ahn has interviewed many of the most influential people in business, among them Baidu Chairman Robin Li and Danone CEO Emmanuel Faber.

For almost 20 years, Ahn has anchored from major financial hubs including Bloomberg’s headquarters in New York and Hong Kong. She has sat down with global newsmakers— from the IMF’s Kristalina Georgieva, Japan’s Finance Minister Katsunobu Kato and former Bank of Japan Governor Haruhiko Kuroda to Bank of America’s Brian Moynihan, Rakuten’s Hiroshi Mikitani, Baidu’s Robin Li and Shell’s Wael Sawan. Ahn’s exclusive interviews also include heads of state such as the Philippines’ Ferdinand Marcos Jr., Pakistan’s Shehbaz Sharif, Colombia’s Gustavo Petro, Brazil’s Michel Temer, and Chile’s Sebastián Piñera.
Ahn was raised in Bolivia and speaks Spanish, Korean, and English. Her reporting spans continents— from covering South Korea’s 2024 martial law declaration to Brazil’s 2022 presidential race, the North Korea–U.S. Summit in Hanoi, the G20 in Hangzhou, Hong Kong’s 2014 pro-democracy protests, and Japan’s 2011 earthquake and nuclear disaster.
Before joining Bloomberg, Ahn was an anchor at Japan’s public broadcaster NHK World and served as a diplomatic correspondent for ArirangTV in Seoul. She earned a degree in Political Science from Seoul National University and a Master’s in Global Affairs from New York University.
