Alexis Christoforous is the market anchor for “Bloomberg Surveillance,” Bloomberg’s flagship radio program.

Christoforous began her business news career at Bloomberg where she was a member of the original television anchor team. She also hosted Bloomberg programs on the PBS network and was the company’s first correspondent to report live from the NYSE.

The recipient of numerous awards for her work, including an Emmy and a Gracie, Christoforous has covered major business news events over three decades, including The World Economic Forum in Davos and Warren Buffet’s Berkshire Hathaway annual shareholder meeting.

Prior to Bloomberg, Christoforous was an anchor and correspondent for CBS News, Yahoo Finance and ABC News.

A native New Yorker, Christoforous is a graduate of New York University and the famed LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts.
