SINGAPORE September 15, 2023 – Today, Bloomberg New Economy unveiled its latest speaker and program updates for the sixth annual Bloomberg New Economy Forum. Returning to Singapore on November 8-10, 2023, the Forum will address the questions and issues of greatest importance to global business and finance, among them a changing world order, the rise of industrial policy and fiscal activism in the post-pandemic era, and the intensifying race for technological supremacy. Against a backdrop of inflation, war, great-power tensions, the threat and promise of artificial intelligence and the precarious state of the planet’s climate, this event will bring together leaders to address the world’s most pressing problems.

“Without dialogue and international engagement, this climate of economic and geopolitical instability can be a breeding ground for mistrust and zero-sum rivalries,” said Erik Schatzker, Editorial Director of Bloomberg New Economy. “That’s why it’s so vital to convene this Forum and why we’re so encouraged by the strong response and commitment from senior government officials and private-sector leadership from across the globe.”

Earlier this month, as part of the lead-up to the Forum, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau joined Bloomberg New Economy before an audience in Singapore for an exclusive conversation on the increasingly complex environment Canada and other countries are navigating in the Indo-Pacific region. Watch the full interview with Erik Schatzker here.

“This year’s forum in Singapore promises to be the most impactful yet, with more than 500 global participants expected to attend alongside representatives from the U.S., China, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, UK, Canada, Brazil, Qatar and Singapore,” added M. Scott Havens, CEO at Bloomberg Media. “With the economy contending with ever greater uncertainty driven by seismic changes in global business, the Bloomberg New Economy platform will continue to play a critical role in facilitating meaningful dialogue among its participants and help decision-makers find opportunity in uncertainty.”
