The VivaTech x Bloomberg Award Winners Announced in Paris



Paris, June 18– Winners of the VivaTech x Bloomberg Awards, celebrating global leadership, innovation and impact in the technology sector, were announced today in a ceremony at the VivaTech Conference in Paris.

The show was hosted by Bloomberg Television’s Francine Lacqua and Tom Mackenzie and featured on-stage discussions with the winners.

The ceremony was streamed globally on bloomberg.com/video and other channels.  A special highlights program will be broadcast on Bloomberg Television on July 3.

The VivaTech x Bloomberg Award winners:

Visionary Award winner: Sir Tim Berners-Lee – Inventor of the World Wide Web, Co-Founder & CTO, Inrupt
The Visionary Award recognizes lifetime achievement by a person or organization.

Leadership Award winner: Joe Tsai – Co-Founder & Chairman, Alibaba Group
The Leadership Award recognizes a senior leader whose decisions and stewardship are shaping the global tech economy.

Momentum Award winner: Yann LeCun – Executive Chairman, AMI Labs
The Momentum Award recognizes a founder or senior leader who is actively building a defining platform or institution.

Breakthrough Award winner: Peter Steinberger – Creator, OpenClaw and Member of Technical Staff,  OpenAI
The Breakthrough Award recognizes game-changing innovators who advance the limits of the possible.

Investor Award winner:  Jeannette zu Fürstenberg – President & Managing Director, General Catalyst
The Investor Award recognizes an individual investor or firm whose capital and conviction accelerated innovation.

Rising Star Award winner: May Habib – Co-Founder & CEO, WRITER
The Rising Star Award recognizes an emerging founder or thinker, nominated by the wider Bloomberg and VivaTech communities.  It celebrates individuals whose ideas, innovation, and leadership are helping shape the future of technology.

CitizenTech Award winner: Ukraine
The CitizenTech Award recognizes a city, country or region using technology to make a real-world impact on its citizens.  Ukraine was recognised for maintaining essential public services through its digital infrastructure.  The  award was collected by Natalia Denikeieva, Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.

The awards ceremony took place in the VivaTech Theater, a new 2,000-seat venue at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. The winners were chosen through a global selection process, drawing on broad-based input from senior teams across VivaTech and Bloomberg.
