NEW YORK, NY – October 20, 2026 – Bloomberg Media today announced that season three of the Emmy-winning Originals series Bloomberg Primer is now streaming for a six-episode run. Each short-form, 15-minute episode cuts through complex jargon to reveal the business behind technologies poised to transform global markets.
New episodes air Mondays at 8:30pm ET on Bloomberg Originals in addition to Bloomberg’s new digital video experience and on the Bloomberg mobile app’s “Stream” tab. The six-episode series, rolling out weekly on Mondays, is available on major streaming platforms such as LG Channels, Samsung TV+, Prime Video Channels, and Tubi. The series will later be available on Bloomberg Television on Dec. 2.
This season of Bloomberg Primer explores the technologies, infrastructure and materials powering an increasingly electrified world. Across six episodes, the series looks at the innovations reshaping the energy system, including biomining as a potential solution to growing copper demand, battery-powered ferries, next-generation transformers designed for a more demanding power grid, and more.
The premiere episode, available here, examines how the global copper supply is on a collision course with growing electricity demand. Now, some companies are turning to biomining, the process of using microbes to extract metals, to boost supply.
Other Bloomberg Originals series include The Circuit and Posthuman, both hosted by Emily Chang, Leaders with Francine Lacqua, The Deal with Alex Rodriguez & Jason Kelly and more.
This season of Bloomberg Primer is sponsored by Hitachi Energy.
