July 12, 2022 (New York, NY) – Nick Sallon will join Bloomberg Media as its first Chief Partnerships Officer starting in August 2022. In this newly created position, Sallon will oversee and align the global business teams responsible for multi-platform video and audio expansion, global partnerships, content licensing and distribution as well as driving enterprise consumer subscription sales. He will report to Bloomberg Media CEO, M. Scott Havens.

Sallon was most recently Global Head of Longform Partnerships at Twitter. In his seven years at Twitter, Nick held positions as Head of US News Partnerships and General Manager Live Video News. During his tenure, Nick negotiated dozens of deals for high profile video properties and co-developed programming for a slate of original content franchises including Bloomberg Media’s Quicktake, Buzzfeed News’s AM to DM and Wall Street Journal’s What’s Now.

As part of this newly created business division, Soo Kang, Bloomberg Media’s Global Head of Distribution and Partnerships, will oversee the company’s global brand partnerships and content licensing, as well as lead on enterprise level subscription sales efforts. In addition, Travis Winkler, Bloomberg Media’s current Global Head of Business Development and Growth, will drive the company’s global audio/video business efforts as General Manager of Video and Audio. Both teams will report to Nick.
Prior to Twitter, Nick was an early employee of Aereo, the Barry Diller backed technology company that allowed subscribers to view live and time shifted streams of over-the-air television. As the first commercial employee, Nick helped build Aereo from pre-product stage to online video subscription business with 120 employees and tens of thousands of subscribers.
Nick holds an MBA from London Business School and a BSC in Politics with First Class Honors from University of Bristol and has served as an advisor to a number of early stage media and technology startups.
Nick lives in Harlem with his wife and son, where he is an active member of his block association. He speaks fluent French, conversational Spanish & Swedish and basic Brazilian Portuguese.
