NEW YORK October 31, 2023 – (New York City) Today, Bloomberg New Economy announced its latest participants and program updates for the sixth annual Bloomberg New Economy Forum (‘the Forum’). Taking place next week in Singapore, the Forum is a comprehensive three-day symposium consisting of in-person panel discussions, keynote interviews, bilateral meetings and breakout sessions. Plenary program highlights include panel discussions on, ‘The Rise of Economic Statecraft’, ‘Setting the Agenda for COP 28’, ‘Power Grab: The Global Struggle for Energy Security’ and ‘Re-Evaluating the Chinese Economy’. With the world economy undergoing some of the most profound and rapid shifts in modern history, driven by inflation, war, great-power tensions, artificial intelligence and climate change, attending delegates from the public and private sectors will collaborate on new opportunities and find innovative solutions to the globe’s most pressing problems.

The Forum comes at a critical moment for leaders, as geopolitical stresses and extreme climate events erode the stability of the world’s economy. “I am delighted that the Bloomberg New Economy Forum will return to Singapore again this year. The Forum provides a valuable opportunity to discuss pertinent global issues and emerging opportunities, and Singapore is glad to be able to play a constructive role in this important endeavor,” said Lee Hsien Loong, Prime Minister of Singapore.

“With the global economy disrupted by accelerating changes in our technology, climate and geopolitics, business and government leaders need to find new ways of working together,” said Michael R. Bloomberg, founder of Bloomberg L.P. and Bloomberg Philanthropies and 108th mayor of New York City. “The New Economy Forum’s global community of innovative leaders is committed to tackling big challenges, and we look forward to hosting productive and inspiring conversations in Singapore once again.”
