Emmy-Nominated Bloomberg Originals Series “Leaders with Francine Lacqua” Returns for Second Season

LONDON – 8 October 2026 – Bloomberg Media today announced that the Emmy-nominated Originals series Leaders with Francine Lacqua returns for a second season, premiering October 8 on Bloomberg.com, before debuting October 12 on Bloomberg Television at 6pm ET/11pm BST and Bloomberg Originals at 8pm ET. Hosted by Francine Lacqua, Bloomberg Television’s award-winning London-based anchor and Editor-at-Large, each 30-minute episode takes viewers inside the thinking of the decision-makers shaping global business, finance, and politics, exploring what drives them and how they lead through uncertain times.

In the opening episode, Lacqua interviews Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Director-General of the World Trade Organization, discussing how to reimagine globalization, and support multilateralism under strain. Further guests featured over the course of the series include: Stephen A. Schwarzman, Chairman, CEO & Co-Founder, Blackstone; Sunil Bharti Mittal,  Founder and Chairman, Bharti Enterprises; and Ruth Porat, President & Chief Investment Officer, Alphabet and Google. Other episodes feature Kaja Kallas, High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission, and Jens Stoltenberg, Minister of Finance, Norway; former NATO Secretary General and former Prime Minister of Norway.

Leaders with Francine Lacqua was nominated earlier this year for the 47th Annual News & Documentary Emmy Awards in the “Outstanding Interview: Long Form” category for Lacqua’s interview with Finland’s President Alexander Stubb.

The series expanded into audio in March 2026 with the launch of the Leaders with Francine Lacqua podcast, which opened with Pivotal Ventures founder Melinda French Gates. Guests since have included HSBC Chief Executive Georges Elhedery, Shell Chief Executive Wael Sawan, IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva, and tennis champion Rafael Nadal.

Leaders with Francine Lacqua will stream on Bloomberg’s digital video experience, the Bloomberg mobile app’s “Stream” tab, and YouTube. The six episode season will roll out on Bloomberg.com biweekly on Thursdays and will be available on major streaming platforms including YouTube TV, Samsung TV Plus, Prime Video Channels, LG Channels and Tubi.

Lacqua will continue to write special editions of the Management & Work newsletter to accompany each episode, and new episodes of the Leaders with Francine Lacqua podcast will publish every other week.

Francine Lacqua anchors The Pulse with Francine Lacqua, Bloomberg Television’s weekday program of exclusive interviews with leading figures in business, economics, finance, and politics. Since joining Bloomberg in 2000, she has interviewed prominent figures including France’s Emmanuel Macron and European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde.
