CA Technologies will be sole sponsor of Bloomberg’s new technology series “Hello World”

First show to build Snapchat footage into series

Bloomberg Media today announced CA Technologies (NASDAQ:CA) will be the sole sponsor of the forthcoming Bloomberg Television series “Hello World,” starring Ashlee Vance.

Debuting on Bloomberg.com on Wednesday, March 23rd and on Bloomberg Television on Friday, March 25th at 9:30 pm ET, “Hello World” travels around the globe to find the inventors, scientists and technologist shaping our future. The series is hosted by Bloomberg Businessweek technology writer Ashlee Vance, author of The New York Times best seller “Elon Musk: Tesla, SpaceX and the Quest for a Fantastic Future.” “Hello World” will be the first ever show to build Snapchat footage into a show or series. Snaps from Vance and other crew members have been interwoven into the live shots from the field, resulting in a visceral sense of being along for the ride. The series breaks ground as the first digital tech travel show of its kind in which new technology like Snapchat finds its way into the story telling.

Back in 1972, “Hello World” was the simple C Programming test message that opened up what would soon become the most hyper-connected population the world has ever seen. As a nod to this revolutionary written code, the new program will celebrate the evolution of software and technology innovations that has since taken place.

Presented as a robust, editorially-driven exploration of the tech industry in all corners of the world, this show examines the exotic, colorful and endlessly entertaining characters that make up the diverse community of the technology industry. Each episode, airing once a month, explores a different country and uncovers the ways in which the local culture and surroundings have shaped their approach to technology. In the first episode, Vance travels to New Zealand to explore an exoskeleton that helps people walk again, some rockets and an AI baby. In the second episode, Vance interviews the founder of Spotify in Sweden. Later in the series, Vance goes behind the scenes with Richard Branson when he introduces his new spaceship, Virgin Galactic.

“Our dual-platform exclusive partnership with CA Technologies is another example of our commitment to bring our advertising partners and consumers industry-leading, innovative and buzz-worthy programming,” said Bloomberg Media’s Global Chief Revenue and Client Partnerships Officer Paul Caine.

“The application economy is creating a new rate and pace of ideas, innovation and market opportunities exploding globally, daily,” said Anna Griffin, SVP Corporate Marketing at CA Technologies. “’Hello World’ brings a lens to the topic we are most passionate about at CA Technologies, a world being rewritten by software and the enormous opportunities for those who can transform.”
