Bloomberg Wins 2023 Gerald Loeb Award for Audio

Bloomberg tied for first place in the audio category in the 2023 Gerald Loeb Awards, one of the most prestigious honors in business journalism, for its In Trust podcast series.

In Trust investigates a massive transfer of Native American wealth, and how federal policies helped an Oklahoma family create a land and ranching empire on onetime Osage land. The series is produced by Bloomberg News and iHeart Media, and by Rachel Adams-Heard, Allison Herrera (Salinan), Davis Land, Jeff Grocott, Samantha Storey and Victor Yvellez.

Bloomberg reporters Kendall Taggart, Anthony Cormier and Jason Leopold won in the investigative category for their story “Profit, Pain, and Private Equity,” while working for BuzzFeed News, along with former BuzzFeed News reporter John Templon.

The winners were announced in New York City. Bloomberg Television’s Romaine Bostick and Vonnie Quinn were among the presenters at the awards ceremony. The Who Killed Daphne?  podcast by Reuters, Times of Malta and Wondery was also a winner in the audio category.
