Bloomberg News won a gold award at The Audio Academy ARIAS, with “The Mishal Husain Show” receiving the Radio Times Moment of the Year award.
Bloomberg Weekend’s global podcast “The Mishal Husain Show” was the Gold winner of the public-voted Radio Times Moment of the Year Award, supported by Radio Times for an exchange during an interview with Nigel Farage. When pressed on Russia, Farage replied “Listen love, you’re trying ever so hard”. The interview revealed a pivot in policy, with the moment going viral.
The podcast was also awarded a silver ARIA in the category of Best News.
Created by The Audio Academy, the charity championing talent across radio and audio industry, the ARIAS (formerly known as the Sony Radio Awards which date back to 1983) is the leading annual event showcasing the world-leading passion, creativity and voices across the UK audio industry.
The winners were announced at an awards ceremony at the Roundhouse in London on May 21.
This builds on a broader week of prestigious British award wins for Bloomberg News, with additional accolades at The Wincott Awards and The Press Awards.
