Bloomberg Media Announces Third Season Of “The David Rubenstein Show: Peer-to-Peer Conversations”


New York, N.Y. – June 14, 2017 – Bloomberg Media today announced the third season of the prime-time television and digital series, “The David Rubenstein Show: Peer-to-Peer Conversations.” In each episode, financier and philanthropist David M. Rubenstein interviews one of the world’s most influential power players about their personal and professional journey, uncovering the moments that define how they think, lead, and give back. The new season debuts with Rubenstein interviewing Comcast Corporation CEO Brian Roberts. Future episodes capture him travelling the country to speak with Nike co-founder Phil Knight, IBM CEO Ginni Rometty, cellist Yo-Yo Ma, Elliott Management founder Paul Singer, and Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush.

The first half-hour episode of the season featuring Brian Roberts debuted as a digital video on Bloomberg.com this morning and airs on Bloomberg Television this evening at 9 p.m. ET, with re-airs next Wednesday, June 21, and over the next two weekends. New episodes in the series will debut every two weeks, with the Phil Knight interview debuting on Wednesday, June 28. Episodes can also be viewed on Bloomberg.com, YouTube, and the Bloomberg terminal.

David M. Rubenstein is the co-founder and co-CEO of The Carlyle Group, a global alternative asset manager. A graduate of Duke and the University of Chicago Law School, he is chairman of the board of trustees of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, regent of the Smithsonian Institution, president of the Economic Club of Washington, D.C., and a “patriotic philanthropist” who has loaned his copies of artifacts such as the Magna Carta, Declaration of Independence, and Emancipation Proclamation to national museums. He also helped fund repairs to the Washington Monument.

Beginning June 24, PBS will make the 12 episodes from the first two seasons of “The David Rubenstein Show” available to its member stations, nearly 350 in all, for Saturday airings at 6:30-7:00 PM ET (check local listings). The June 24 PBS debut will be David Rubenstein’s interview with Oprah Winfrey airing at a special time, 5:00-6:00 PM ET. Each month, PBS reaches nearly 100 million people through television and nearly 28 million people online.
