Belgrade, Ljubljana, Sarajevo, Skopje and Zagreb – July 1, 2022 – Bloomberg Adria, Southeast Europe’s first pan-regional, multi-platform business news network will officially launch on 1 July 2022. The content will first be available on the digital platform, while the TV broadcast will follow next week. The new news network – focused on business and financial news – will launch simultaneously across five markets via its editorial hubs in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, North Macedonia, Serbia, and Slovenia.
More than 130 local journalists, commentators, analysts, and financial professionals will create original content across all five regional languages. Through its collaboration with Bloomberg Media, Bloomberg Adria will leverage the reporting of Bloomberg’s 2,700 journalists and analysts in 120 countries. It will combine translated Bloomberg News content with original reporting from across the region, to create a premier news destination for business leaders in Southeast Europe.
Bloomberg Adria will provide expert insight into causes, context and consequences of factors shaping the global – and regional – economy. The new platform will serve the region’s growing community of decision makers and business leaders – across television, print, digital, mobile and social – through fact-based, unbiased journalism.
Bloomberg Adria will operate as a 24-7 news service, producing eight hours of live TV programming per day from its studios in Belgrade, Ljubljana, Sarajevo, Skopje and Zagreb. Through a content license agreement with Bloomberg Media, the new news network will have access to Bloomberg’s extensive financial and economic content, analysis, and market data, allowing local teams to curate translated stories across Bloomberg Adria’s platforms.
Bloomberg Adria is a regional collaboration between Bloomberg Media and Mtel Swiss – a broadcaster majority-owned by Telekom Srbija.
