Bloomberg Media COO Jacki Kelley named President of New York Women in Communications board of directors

We’re excited to report that New York Women in Communications, Inc. (NYWICI) announced today that Jacki Kelley, Bloomberg Media’s Chief Operating Officer, will be President of its board of directors for 2016-2017.

Uniquely, NYWICI serves women across the full arc of their careers – from high school students on up to top executives – in all areas of entertainment and media. Kelley, who joined Bloomberg Media in 2014, brings deep leadership experience, a long history of promoting diversity and inclusion initiatives, and an impressive collection of awards and honors to the organization.

Bloomberg Media Chief Operating Officer Jacki Kelley

She’s been named to Variety’s Power of Women New York ranking and featured as one of Crain’s New York Business’s 50 Most Powerful Women, as well as being one of Advertising Age’s 100 Most Influential Women in Advertising and appearing at number one on Business Insider’s 30 Most Powerful Women in Advertising list. Most recently, she was recognized by Folio’s Top Women in Media Awards for entrepreneurial leadership and her work as a diversity and inclusion champion.

It’s no surprise to us at Bloomberg Media that the industry continues to recognize Kelley’s many accomplishments, since we see her leadership in action every day. Nor is it surprising to read that she’s looking forward to leading NYWICI’s board:

“I’m so honored to be a part of an organization of women who are constantly inspiring one another to achieve and share their successes,” said Kelley. “I’m looking forward not only to working with some of the most influential women in the communications industry, but to having the opportunity to nurture the industry’s future female leaders and leading NYWICI in a time of rapid industry change.”
