Christina Ruffini Joins Bloomberg’s David Gura and Lisa Mateo as co-host; Carolyn Cremen Named Executive Producer of New Live Weekend Show
NEW YORK, NY — [February 12, 2026] — Bloomberg announces the launch of “Bloomberg This Weekend,” expanding the network’s live business and global news coverage to seven days a week. This innovative program, hosted by David Gura, Christina Ruffini, and Lisa Mateo, will simulcast worldwide on Bloomberg’s audio, video and digital platforms, bringing real-time reporting, politics, lifestyle and culture to audiences no matter where they are or how they consume the news.
“Bloomberg This Weekend” debuts February 28 at 7:00 a.m. ET and airs on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
The three-hour broadcast combines live reporting from Bloomberg’s 3,000 journalists and analysts with unique discussions and in-depth conversations with lawmakers, business leaders and cultural icons.
Co-Hosts David Gura and Christina Ruffini lead the show from New York, tapping into their vast network of sources and newsmakers. Lisa Mateo keeps audiences up-to-date on the latest headlines, bringing energy, efficiency and clarity to the news.
David Gura, an award-winning anchor and correspondent for Bloomberg TV and Radio, and co-host of Bloomberg’s “Big Take” podcast, has spent his career covering the intersection of Wall Street and Washington. He has reported from across the United States, and around the world, and interviewed chief executives, presidents and prime ministers. Previously, Gura was an anchor at MSNBC/MS Now, and a correspondent for NBC and NPR.
Christina Ruffini is an Emmy-award winning foreign affairs journalist and anchor. She joins Bloomberg after serving as a contributing host for NBC, MSNBC/MS Now, and The Atlantic Live. Ruffini previously served as a White House and State Department correspondent for CBS News and has reported on multiple conflicts from the Middle East to Ukraine.
Lisa Mateo will serve as a news anchor covering breaking headlines and developing stories. She joins the team from Bloomberg Surveillance Radio, bringing her market knowledge and wit to the weekends. Prior to joining Bloomberg, Mateo was a news anchor for the CBS News Radio Network and a television correspondent for CBS Newspath. Mateo will continue hosting global conferences for Bloomberg Live.
Carolyn Cremen is an award-winning executive producer who most recently led the CBS Evening News with Norah O’Donnell. She previously spent 15 years at CNN, including more than a decade in senior editorial and primetime roles across its New York, Atlanta, and Washington, D.C. bureaus.
“Bloomberg This Weekend” will give viewers and listeners the insight to make sense of the world, featuring core franchises including the new Bloomberg Weekend digital experience, Odd Lots, Bloomberg Surveillance, CityLab, Bloomberg Pursuits and The Forecast weekly newsletter.
