Bloomberg is bolstering its European Union coverage with the relaunch of the Brussels Edition newsletter, now written by new Brussels Bureau Chief Suzanne Lynch. As part of this focus, Bloomberg is also expanding its newsroom presence, with the addition of radio and TV anchors in Brussels.
The Brussels Edition is Bloomberg’s flagship EU newsletter, which has been relaunched under the authorship of Bureau Chief Suzanne Lynch. Lynch joined Bloomberg in June 2025 and has extensive experience reporting on European and US affairs, including working in Washington as a US correspondent. Under her authorship, the newsletter now publishes on weekday afternoons with the latest news and analysis on what’s shaping politics and policy across the continent.
Additional resources in the Brussels newsroom include: Stephen Carroll has moved to the Brussels bureau, where he now co-anchors Bloomberg’s live weekday radio show and podcast Daybreak Europe. He previously anchored the show from London and has extensive experience working as a broadcast journalist in France, Ireland and the UK. Over the course of four hours, Daybreak Europe sets the agenda ahead of and through the market opening in Europe, setting audiences up for the day ahead, while also providing listeners with overnight news from the US and Asia.
Bloomberg Television has appointed Oliver Crook as Chief Europe Correspondent, based in Brussels. He will drive coverage of the continent across Bloomberg’s video platforms with a focus on European politics, transatlantic relations and industry. Crook has previously worked in Berlin and New York, and held senior leadership positions in the London newsroom, including Executive Producer and Managing Editor in the EMEA region.
To support these changes, Bloomberg recently opened an expanded TV studio and new podcast studio in Brussels as part of a wider expansion of its office and footprint in the city.
